Full and partial training is available for your horse under the guidance of head trainer, USDF silver medalist, and RCA Founder, Lauren Baggett. Lauren is dedicated to helping riders achieve their goals while setting a foundation in classical Dressage, biomechanics, and responsible horsemanship. Her training program develops horses of all kinds sharing a foundation of rideability, balance, and correct muscling. Her students are taught the importance of rider biomechanics in order to best influence their equine partner with confidence and finesse.
While her main focus is Dressage, her training program encourages horses and riders to be multitalented and multidisciplined by incorporating jumping, field, and cavaletti work into her program.
Lauren creates an approachable and unintimidating atmosphere that produces confident horses and riders who excel and consistently progress towards their goals.
Lauren grew up riding at the prestigious Holsteiner breeding farm, Freedom Hill Farms, in Desoto, Kansas, where from the age of 10 she was fortunate enough to train with USDF Gold medalist, Rebecca Rigdon. She was also an active member of Pony Club throughout her high school years.
Lauren spent several seasons as a working student in Wellington, Florida, studying under acclaimed trainers Ryan Yap and Heather Blitz. Heather subsequently became Lauren’s lifelong mentor and is the featured clinician at Riding Club of Austin. While in Wellington, Lauren competed in Young Riders and Prix St. Georges on her FEI horse, Wernon.
For three years, Lauren trained out of her parent’s farm in Lawrence, Kansas where she worked with a variety of horses of all ages, sizes, breeds, and disciplines. In 2011, she took a string of training horses to Louisiana’s internationally renowned Danish Warmblood breeding farm, Oak Hill Ranch. She interned with the head trainer, Regina Miliken, as well as the nationally recognized cowboy Bruce Eaglesfield. There she honed her skills for developing the young horse, stallion riding and handling, and expanded her knowledge of natural horsemanship and “problem horse” training.
In 2017 Lauren established the Riding Club of Austin (formerly LMB Equestrian). Since its founding, Riding Club has flourished, becoming one of the largest lesson and training programs in the area.
